Democrats lose House

After not paying all their bills for years, today banks all across America have repossessed the House of Representatives. With the House now for sale, it looks like the Democrats are going to use this cluster-boink as an excuse to change the people in charge by about 25-30 years (or more). Everybody currently leading the Dems are well into their 80s. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not picking on older people, I just know that I have issues with the right words, and finding things right in front of me, and though I’m old, I’m not that old yet.

The Democrats have been trying, (in more ways than one), to pay all the bills, but the Republicans keep spending more money and won’t raise the limit on the government’s credit card. Now the Dems have lost the house and can’t seem to find their way back home. Guess that’s what one gets from eating too many of Nana’s Fudge Swirls.

I’m hoping we survive the next two years, but after that who knows. (And they thought we were wasting money keeping 2 years of food/oil/gas stashed for all of the US.) Maybe someone somewhere, no matter which party, will finally get back to the old days of discussing problems with those who disagree and work out a solution so that both sides are unhappy-but-can-live-with-it.

Meanwhile, if you want a tax refund you better make enough money that you don’t need it, else you are SOL.

Did the Dems get a back-bone or just get lucky?

A couple of weeks before the election, the Republicans were set for a Red Wave and were making plans to whoop the snot out of the Republicans. Heck, I’ve already entered the lottery for seats to the first round of Biden impeachments. Now it looks like the Dems have kept control of the Senate, so I guess the impeachments will be more of a side-show by the Republicans who look to have won the House.

So the questions remains. What happened?

All of the sudden, the Dems start talking about what all they have accomplished. When did they learn they can do things like that?

It may have just been luck, because it seems like people in the US are tired of listening to crazy shit and just want things to be normal again.

I don’t think I would like to be in Donald Trump’s position right now. All the money in the world won’t stop Big Bubba from getting a piece of your (assumed) fat-dimpled rear in the joint.

You Did It!

US Voters turned out in record numbers to vote in the midterm elections. THANK YOU!!!

As if that wasn’t enough, Colorado passed Free School lunches for all public school kids, lowered sales taxes, and is close to passing the legalization of certain psychedelic mushrooms. Colorado stayed a Pro-Choice state and two new states legalized adult-use of marijuana.

Speaking of Pro-Choice, everywhere the right to obtain reproductive healthcare was on the ballot, it was allowed. The government has no more business in women’s choice for their bodies and their lives than it does in deciding Balls and Strikes in a World Series Baseball Game. (Behind the plate tonight is Senator Ted Cruz from Texas. Feel free to start booing now.)
