Let’s Call the Bastard’s Bluff

The Trump administration has stated that their troops will be deployed in Portland (at least) until the local police and government agencies do their job and stop the violence.

I don’t believe them.

Besides, what happened to Non-Violent protests? If you are there and you see someone break a window, or throw a bottle at the cops, take their picture and turn them in. As long as citizens are fighting back, it is only going to get worse.

Protect yourself as best you can….wear a gas mask, helmet, and a flak jacket if you have them, but don’t take any weapons except your voice and your cameras. Document the bad actors on both sides and turn them in to the local police. Honor the memory of John Lewis and keep non-violent

Let’s call the President’s bluff. Show up and protest but do not allow any violent acts to be committed by the protesters. There is no way that Trump’s storm troopers can maintain the peace…if there is no violence, they will start it. Then it’s a whole new game. As long as we provide excuses for the abuses, they will continue to escalate.

Personal Note: Rest in Power Uncle Sanford

I got a text from my sister Friday night that my uncle had passed away. Though I am unable to attend his funeral, I can pass along that he always was in a good mood and was happy and jovial with all us kids. It’s been too long since I have seen or spoken to him, and for that I am deeply regretful.

Rest in Power Uncle Sanford. Say hi to Dad for me.

Trump’s Troops Tear gas Peaceful Protesters in Portland

Last night in Portland, President Trump sent his troops to use tear gas and pepper-balls against the “Wall of Moms” and a “Wall of Veterans”. The Mayor of Portland was also gassed this week. What kind of President uses chemical weapons banned in war against his own non-violent citizens?

A group of self-identified “Moms” linked arms between the troops and the protesters to try to stop the violence. The troopers used tear gas and pepper spray on them. That is Trump’s answer to people trying to help.

A similar thing happened to a group of veterans who stood at parade rest, while the government they fought and bled for beat them and used chemicals on them. WTF?

I hate to tell y’all this, but this shit is illegal. The right to protest is secured in the first amendment of the US constitution. The right to beat an unarmed person who is not trying to hurt you is not guaranteed to anyone, much less an illegal military agent.

And, in case you haven’t heard, the bastards are also coming up to citizens walking peacefully down the street, arresting them without telling them why, and taking them away in an unmarked SUV. Anyone wanna tell me how to tell the difference between unidentified government agents dressed in military camo, and some group of “Second Amendment Americans” dressed in military camo who are intent on causing one harm?

This shit is getting real, folks. The violence you see on television is being caused mostly by the ones sent there, supposedly, to keep the peace.

What can you do to stop this? Vote. Vote against all those who are enabling Prince Donnie in his effort to become King Donald the First. Vote against Moscow Mitch for refusing to represent the citizens who elected him. Vote against those are working to tear apart this country instead of building it up.

And if you get a chance…especially if you don’t believe me…go to a protest. See for yourself. Please leave your weapons at home, but bring something to wash out your eyes from the tear gas.
